Job Description
Responsibilities: Responsible for the design and layout of full-custom
linear CMOS Integrated circuits.

Required Skills:
BSEE required with experience or education in full-custom CMOS
Integrated Circuit (IC) design. Applicant should possess strong
knowledge of semiconductor device physics, linear IC design,
simulation, layout, CAD, and testing. Knowledge of software design
tools for transistor model extraction, noise analysis, circuit
simulation, digital design, custom layout, and verification is helpful.
MSEE or Ph.D. a plus. Will be responsible for the design, layout, and
testing of CMOS chips in support imaging applications.
Desired Skills:
Experience in memory design, A-to-D's, radiation environments, and
cryogenic applications very applicable. Cryogenic modeling of MOSFETs
and statistical design is also desired.

Opto-Mechanical Manager

Location: CA

Responsibilities: Job duties as department management of mechanics and
optics personnel include; staffing, performance development, training,
deployment of department processes. Will be a member of the senior
staff he/she will provide guidance in optical-mechanical design as well
as supervise the work of other engineers and technicians in the
following areas: detailed design, design analysis, documentation, and
system test planning and development. Responsible for cost estimating
on proposal efforts and reviewing all cost bids for work to be
performed. As senior manager he/she will be responsible for overall
cost and schedule progress on programs by department staff. Plan and
lead the technical effort required to address customer needs. Managing
the development of radiometric calibration techniques for visible and
IR space sensors. Analyzes and develops structural engineering
specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural
materials for product design. Responsible for the requirements
definition and technology advancements for passive Cryo-radiator
designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowable and
structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may
include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal
analysis. Tools utilized include CodeV, ProEngineer, Thermal Desktop
and a variety of software applications. Master's preferred.


Required Skills:
Experience: (15+ years) Technical management, excellent communication
skills, managing groups of 50 or more people, experience in solving
personal issues and working with human resources. Able to represent the
optical and mechanical department to internal and external customers at
all levels. Must have experience in meeting cost and schedule and
understanding program management metrics. Design experience for space
sensors.

Structural Dynamicist
Location AZ

Responsibilities: Applies extensive technical expertise in structural
analysis. Develops technical solutions to complex problems and leads
analysis, design, implementation, and integration efforts. Performs
detailed structural analyses involving static and dynamic loads,stress
analysis, dynamic response and fatigue life predictions. These analyses
will be performed using both computer techniques and classical
techniques.

Required Skills:
Fluent in structural analysis using either NASTRAN/Ansys in a PC and
UNIX based work station environment. Pro-E or equivalent CAD/CAM
experience required. Significant "hands on" experience with
aircraft/airframe structural analysis of composites is required.
Desired Skills:
Ability to work in a teaming environment via integration with internal
and external customers and co-workers. Candidate should be a self
starter with the ability to mentor/guide junior engineers. The ideal

CRYOGENIC ENGINEER

Location: AZ

Responsibilities: The candidate will have the responsibility for every
phase of the design of a cryostat or cryo bottle starting with the
initial design and continuing through transition to manufacturing. This
includes requirements flow down, PDR, CDR, preparation of the Technical
Data Package, vendor selection, prototyping, and test and verification.
Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other
related fields.Develop technical solutions to complex problems that
require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work will be
performed without apppreciable direction. Will guide the successful
completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership
role. Will represent the organization as the prime technical contact on
contracts and projects. Interact with senior external personnel on
significant technical matters.

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will be a "one-man band" with high motivation and
energy, capable of organizing and executing a multi-faceted effort. A
motivator and leader, rather than a manager. It is critical that this
individual get along well with others. This will be important in peer
relationships initially because this individual will NOT normally be
leading a team. The ideal candidate will be a subsystem or component
designer/design engineer who is very mechanical (hardware) oriented. A
"hands on" person who has taken mechanical parts and products from
design to or through manufacturing. Some cryo bottle or cryostat design
experience required. Could also substitute small pressure vessel or
Gifford McMahon experience. The successful candidate will have
experience putting together form Technical Data Packages for internal
or supplier use. At a minimum, an Interim Secret clearance with be
required in order to start the position.

Desired Skills:
Thermal/thermodynamics/fluid dynamics experience; CAD and working
knowledge of GD&T; vendor support experience; experience leading a
small 1-2 direct reports) team; experience with developing and
executing project plans and schedules; experience with small blow-down
JT systems.

FUEL SYSTEM ANALYST

Location: AZ

Responsibilities: Design and analyze fuel systems for cruise missiles.
Perform simulations of fluid flow during all phases of flight including
negative "g" maneuvers. Must consider temperature effects on viscosity.
Assist in selecting pumps, filters, pickups, valves, etc. Perform some
thermal analysis of system components. Interface with Program
Management and external customer required. Some team leadership and
cross-IPT engagement required.

Required Skills:
Understanding of incompressible fluid flow. Experience simulating and
designing jet fuel systems. Knowledge of Mathcad, MATLAB or other
suitable simulation tool. Ability to communicate complex concepts to
customer audience. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of thermal analysis tools such as either PATRAN, ANSYS, or
CINDA helpful. Experience with fuel system integration. Supplemental
knowledge of air breathing propulsion systems is a plus.
