|Use API to get the official music video (artist - track) info||David||9/1/10 3:32 AM|
I noticed there is an extra info for some music videos and I'd like to
use it in my app via API.
I'm talking about the light gray part of the box under the video (for
example here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QP-SIW6iKY ) - a div with
css class "watch-extra-info". It contains a note icon and track info
in format of Artist - TrackTitle.
My point is the info is always valid and has a fixed format, which
video title has not and parsing the title works, but it's not very
accurate since users enter titles in various formats.
Is this info reachable via API functions? I am fetching the video info
in object as described here (http://code.google.com/intl/cs/apis/
but I didn't find the valid Artist - Track anywhere in the fetched
data. Do I have to use any other API call or is it just impossible to
get these data right now?
Thanks for hints!

No, that's not something exposed via the YouTube API. My guess is
that text is automatically generated on the video page when a video
matches a song in our content id system:
It's not part of the video's metadata.
