Yes, this is a bug. I just fixed it for 2.8.0.

Having just upgraded my PhoneGap project from 2.0.0 to 2.7.0 onCreateOptionsMenu for Android is no longer being called, after a few hours of trial and error it appears that versions 2.6.0 and 2.7.0 both have this issue. If I use 2.5.0 the menu button works and calls the onCreateOptionsMenu method as expected and the menu appears.
Is this a bug in these latest two versions or should I be doing something else.
The activity is derived from DroidGap and uses the boilerplate code found when searching for the implementation of onCreateOptionsMenu
