Welcome to NYU Stern Research, a place to exchange ideas, questions, and calls for help related to research projects by faculty and PhD students at NYU's Stern School of Business.  It's an experiment, but we thought it might be interesting to hear what our colleagues are working on and maybe even help out.

If you'd like to join the group, do one of the following:
Posting suggestions:  We'll see how this goes, but we thought we'd emphasize short (SHORT!) posts that offer opportunties for help or collaboration from others.  Short summaries of current research would also work, but the focus is on possible collaboration.  That might include questions about getting data, requests for technical support (math, software), etc.  Summaries might include links to more extensive descriptions.  If you have other ideas, give them a try.

To post a comment, click on "New Topic" above (the red rectangle) and follow directions.  Alternatively, you can send an email -- from the email address under which you're registered in the group.

To control the flow of email:  click on "My membership" above and select the frequency of email updates you'd like (all, none, or periodic summaries).  You're also asked to set email preferences when you join.

For other questions, see the Google Groups help.

Other than that:  Welcome!
