Custom Meta Data is a field in which you can insert JSON that is stored alongside your post. I don't understand the rest of your questions, sorry.

The inserting posts via API is independent of how posts are rendered when shown in Dynamic Views.

The primary restriction on rendering post images in Dynamic Views are whether we can decode the image host information. Please experiment on using different image hosts until you find a rendering you like. Then you will be able to create your posts via the API without an issue.
