Hi All, sorry to arrive late to the party but I recently started using Go and I was wondering about this as well.
Would it be possible to add a checkbox in the server backup config (ie: "Notify only in case of failure") and skip sending email if that option is set when successful?
I'm not a java developer so the amount of effort it would take me is kinda high (I tried to have a look at the code but I'm struggling to find where the UI options should be defined).
Is this something that could be easily implemented?
Thanks for your help.

We have GoCD 17.8.0 and there still seems to be no way of disabling emails being sent out when a backup is triggered... For eg. to find when were the backups taken & their locations etc. There could be a choice where admin can choose to get "all" emails / "failure" emails / "no" emails. But its definitely a "nice to have" in my view.
