N4N Networking Nature

Help us tackle three main facets of a universal problem in ecological research: Managing sensors and collecting sensor data in remote locations [enviro-hardened off-grid open-source hardware], getting the crucial information back to civilization [wireless networks], then doing something clever and useful with it [map/GIS//data visualization/Internet of Things/etc].

N4N Networking Nature is a working group of Nerds For Nature. We are an all-volunteer organization, dedicated to bringing together environmental professionals and technologists, students and citizen scientists to collaboratively build awesome tools that help us understand, protect, and revive the natural world.
