Auto Focus issue on Xtouch P1 tablet

I trust you are well.

We are using the barcode scanner app from the Zxing team on a XTouch P1 tablet that has a 2mp rear camera.

It seems like the barcode scanner doesn't want to auto focus (like it does when i use the app on my phone) and the auto focus setting has been selected.

Can you please advice how to solve this problem?
