Fixing the scale ratio when using in an ActionBarActivity

Hi,
I made some modifications to use Zxing in portrait mode. It's working fine on various devices.
I noticed that when I extend my activity from ActionBarActivity instead of Activity class, the scale ratio of the preview is broken.
Moreover, the QR code recognition performance of the app is significantly reduced when the camera is close to the code.
Is it a known problem?
