Hello gues,

I confirmed that the translator I'm developing works with FF55 and Zotero 4 (plugin) (now with testCases, though the test fails).

Although I'm using the exactly the same copy of the translator file copied to the Zotero data directory for Zotero 5, when I switched Firefox Profile and used FF55 with Zotero 5, the translator did not work: the toolbar icon remains generic and the right translator did not show up in the pulldown menu either. This is strange because before a few changes the translator was working with FF55 and Zotero 5.

It does not work Chrome either (as to Chrome, I think it has never worked for some reason).

browserSupport property is set to "gcsibv"

I suspected that it could be related to the addition of testCases using Testing pane of Scaffold. So, I deleted code for testCases. But this did not work.

Can someone think of the potential cause of this issue?

Thanks,

Kouichi

I tried your translator code and it worked for me with FF55 and Zotero 5.0 on the example page. Make sure you have restarted Zotero and your Browser and otherwise look at the debug messages in Zotero or the Connector.

Thank you so much for trying. I was puzzled, but it seems that simple restart was all I needed. Now the exactly same translator worked both with Chrome and FF55 with Zotero 5 after restarting browsers and Zotero. This is good.
