fetch_csv / read_csv for non-US context assets

Hi,
can I backtest non-us symbols (european markets, emerging markets)?

I think CSV imported symbols which can't be mapped to existing US symbol are ignored...

I found article about importing CSV, but it is for symbols existing in Zipline universe (context).
