I thought it was completely offline (except of getting some data from yahoo finance)

Zipline also pulls treasury data from http://data.treasury.gov for benchmark calculations. The IP that you listed looks like it's owned by Akamai, which is an internet backbone provider. Can you show what you ran to determine that Zipline is contacting this address?
