disconnected drive is "ONLINE"

In Mac ZFS 74.1, I have physically detached half of my mirror. However,
disk1s2 is still being reported to be attached, but accumulating errors:
% zpool status
pool: datapool
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An
attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected.
action: Determine if the device needs to be replaced, and clear the errors
using 'zpool clear' or replace the device with 'zpool replace'.

scrub: scrub completed with 0 errors on Sun Aug 4 04:48:17 2013
