1- i have a problem while playing recitations audio.

Make sure that you have flash player 9.0 installed for your IE
(recitation won't work if you just have flash player plugin for
Firefox). You can see the version you have in this page (browse with
IE):
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/

After that, whenever such an error is shown, just press no and do a
reload (Ctrl+R).

Not through GUI, but you can manipulate CSS files for the theme you are using.

1. Are you using Gutsy? If not tell me the exact OS and arch. you are using
2. Is this error shown all the time you launch Zekr?
3. Did you have previous versions of Zekr on you machine? Which version?
4. Try to remove /home/akmal/.zekr/ fully and run Zekr again, and tell
me if the error still happens.

5. If nothing worked, you should be able to use sun-jre-5 or 6 to run Zekr.

I use Ubuntu 7.04 Fiesty Fawn.

Yes

I installed 0.4.0 version. It normally works. This problem only with
ramadan edition. but In Windows XP normally wokrs.

I have done it, but same problem.

Try this:
$ sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre

and run
$ sudo update-alternatives --config java

choose sun-java6-jre as the default JRE.

After that, type:
$ java -version

and check if the result is something like this:
java version "1.6.0_01"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_01-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_01-b06, mixed mode, sharing)

Let me know if Zekr worked with this configuration.

This error during installation of the package is not important:
net.sf.zekr.engine.server.HttpServerRuntimeException:

It happens because of the root error:

Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: akmal-desktop: akmal-desktop

which is thrown when Java cannot detect your local address through
InetAddress.getLocalHost()

I think thir could be solved if you add this line to your /etc/hosts:
127.0.0.1 akmal-desktop

If not worked, try to disable local HTTP server by setting
server.http.enable = false in ~/.zekr/config/config.properties

I have no clue... better to remove ZRE, and install Zekr 0.6.0 :)
