This is for current members of the team working on the game and what your skill sets are. This is also so that people will know who is doing what on the team.

For example, I am

lonefool: my skill set is better suited towards game design, I am useless at programing. Mediocre at drawing. I will try to help in the areas that don't have enough people.

I can maybe be a mister writer?

Mariodante is also doing the writing, so I guess as long as you are willing to work with him that would be great. Mariodante said that he would be working on the dialogue first, so if the two of you could work together you two could run ideas by each other, and help each other by giving critiques of each others work.

Putting that aside, I would be happy to have you on the team.

Sounds like you're missing two major parts of game creation: Logic builders (usually programmers) and artists. I'm a decent programmer and character designer, so I might be able to do some yukkuri art as well. Sign me up as a programmer and let's get some good artists in here. :D

Thanks I really appreciate it. EndEarth said that he can do programing, but he hasn't yet posted himself here let, other then you he is the only member who said that they can do programing. As for artists, Mariodante said that his friend(s) wouldn't mind joining, and in a worse case scenario I could fill that role until we find someone better.

But I am happy that you can fill the programing role, when EndEarth jions up that will be good since it should hopefully reduce the work load.

Now we just need to wait for the other members to get on so we can start discussing what will be going into the first build.

Hey everybody, I'm here.  Yeah, let me go talk to my graphic artist friend and ask her to join this page.  We could always also use another mister writer.

Great, hopefully this group will make it easier for us to all keep in touch with each other, and actually how many people did you get to agree to join us, because before you said that you had several of your friends said they could help us.

Opp sorry forget to read this post. Always read top post but don't have a new Idea so I did not post. Here am I. Register as programer. And I could also be a support artist but that will be too much work. This game is a 2D game? So how about using flash as a base programing.

I am glad that you saw this, since a lot of the people who said they would help us haven't posted anything on this site, so I was not sure if anyone else was looking at it, and you were one of the people who I was really hoping would respond again.

Anyways Mielle is also helping with the programing so if you two work together it should be able to reduce the workload that the two of you have to do. I am comfortable using flash, I just don't have my own copy of the program. You should talk to Mielle about this since the two of you are our programers.and it would be better if the two of you decided on what program that we will use together.

Welcome aboard, I'm looking forward to working with you. Be sure to say any ideas you have for the game, you should talk to Mielle and EndEarth about when you will be able to get a hold of a copy of the game. It will likely take a few days though.

I have a lot of coding experience and code architecture experience, but unfortunately I don't have too much time to dedicate to the project.  If you need a second pair of eyes I can help troubleshoot the sourcecode.  I did work a lot with C# and java back in the day but I don't have any experience with Unity.

You know my writing/artistic limits from the boards and the fanfic group. ;)

I understand, I have actually hoped that you would ask since you have a lot of experience. Mielle and EndEarth are the members who are working on the code, so you should ask them. I know you may not have much time to help us with all that you have going on, but what you can do is greatly appreciated.

Hello. I am sugra.
I am not a current member of the team, and as such perhaps should not be replying here. However, I am interested in becoming involved in the project, having posted a couple of lengthy messages on the topic back at OYP. I am fairly tardy in returning, but would still like to be of service if I can.

I can offer only a few things. I have an irrepressible need to statistically quantify all yukkuri metaphysics I encounter.
I believe I can synthesize hard data from multiple sources of abstract beanpaste-based biology concepts.
I would be fairly good at tabulating such data and outlining other types of modeled approximations.
I have also been known to write a neat algorithm or two, but hell if I can code it. (i cannot)
I have done a fair amount of personal research on topics relating to soft AI and non-linear verbal computer-human interaction.
Other skills I have, but will list only these for the sake of brevity in hopes that it will be sufficient for the team leaders to decide if my involvement could be useful to them.
thank you

This is the thread for people who want to join the group, so you came to the right place. I would be happy to have you on the team. You should probably talk to Mielle about what you should do for now. We are using Unity but a lot of the members didn't know how to use it until recently so don't feel bad if you aren't familiar with it. This is going to be a big game so we need as many people as we can get, especially if you can help with developing the AI. Welcome to the group Surga I look forward to working with you.

Oh and this is a free project so anyone can really join if they want to. There really isn't a designated leader, we just run ideas by each other and vote.

hi, most people will just call me marco
- I have basic experience with C++ and java. (thorough understanding of the basics, as i get up into the specifics of class stuff and GUIs i have less experience, but I'm learning)
- I have both a very creative and logical mind (what defines an engineer imo), this means I'm good at math, science, logic , and art, creativity, invention.
- one of my skills is being able to figure out the "how" part of programing in an "if i could" sense. So i can typically work through a solution to making code do something, and then figure out what code i need to do that. So even if my own programming skills fall short, I can guide the logic of complicated coding.
- I learn very quickly, and am capable of teaching myself new concepts
- often very busy with school, so I will more or less be pecking at what I can most of the time

- you can consider me a jack of all trades. Conceptual design, and assistance on any specific topics will be my strong suites I imagine.

Welcome to our group Marco. You should ask Mielle about what you should do, since Mielle is the lead programer, so they would know where we need you the most. I look forward to working with you.

The Source Forge address for the game is
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yukkuriraising/

We aren't very far yet, we don't have a lot of members so it is understandable.
