Training
Positive Re-Enforcement for Training
When a yukkuri succeeds in it's training or if the player wants to give it positive encouragement (cheer it up) for when it doesn't do well. such as verbal praise, positive contact (petting, hugging, etc), food or sweet sweets, getting a new toy, or taking it to a place that it likes (park or some other location). The better the prize the more likely that it will want to succeed, but at the same time it may become spoiled and expect the same level of reward or demand a better one for accomplishing the task. The rewards that are more likely to spoil a yukkuri would be certain foods, sweet sweets, or giving a new toy, while the others would not spoil the yukkuri as easily but would not be as effective for motivating it. Another consequence would occur if you were treating/spoiling a single yukkuri more then the others. The yukkuri that you treat better or spoil may think that it is superior to the other yukkuri, which may lead to it bullying the other yukkuri, or possibly killing one of them. On the other spoiling one yukkuri more then the others may lead the other yukkuri to get jealous or blame the spoiled yukkuri for their unequal treatment and attack or kill it whether or not the spoiled yukkuri is arrogant or a shithead..
Negative Re-Enforcement for Training
When a yukkuri does not succeed or meet the player expectations in training the player should be able to punish the yukkuri. Some of these methods would be to criticize the yukkuri, negative contact (flicking, hitting, etc), not feeding or taking away food, feeding it something it doesn't like, taking away or throwing out a toy. putting it somewhere it doesn't like to be (such as a small dark box), not taking it for a walk, or not letting it see it's friends family. The harsher the punishment the more likely the yukkuri will do its best to not fail or disappoint you. However there should also be a consequence to punishing too often or too severely. Such as being the yukkuri's fear of you increasing, getting anti-yukkuritis, dying from stress, mind break, or say that you are not fare and become defiant. Another consequence would be if you punish one yukkuri more then the others. This could lead the other yukkuri to thing that it it is an uneasy yukkuri, and lead them to bully that yukkuri or even possibly kill it.
Badge TrainingI know that this is a cliche, but there will probably be people who want this. Also if we eventually use money in the game or allow the player to become a breeder we will need some way to distinguish the different grades/quality of yukkuri. Naturally the badge system is the easiest way to do this. We will however need to agree upon the differences in the training for each badge. Or if the training for the badge will just involve the normal training like obedience, toilet, manners, endurance, etc. The only thing that I can think of that is different from the regular training would be the training that involves lowering the yukkuri's dependency on it's accessory by making it sleep without it and not letting it complain about it.
Obedience/Self-Discipline TrainingThis would effect how well the yukkuri listens to you, as well as how well it will follow your orders. The training would involve the player telling the yukkuri to do or not do something, such as telling it to be still for a certain amount of time, or to tell them to go to a certain spot, or to put a piece of food or sweet sweet in front of it and telling it to not eat it until you tell it that it can or you could substitute the food with a toy and tell it to not play with it until you say it can. The training will also effect how your yukkuri acts when you aren't there (such as when you are at your job). Success would mean that it followed your commands and that would raise it's obedience/self-discipline stat. Failure would happen when it didn't follow your command, and the obedience/self-discipline will either not change or may even go down. Success and failure may also effect how much the yukkuri respects you, success may raise it while failure may lower it. The less the yukkuri respects you the harder it will be to make it participate in any form of training, and failing any type of training may lead to the decrease of the respect stat, spoiling it will also reduce the respect stat.
Toilet TrainingTelling/making the yukkuri to go poo poo or pee pee in a designated spot. Success in when it goes where it is supposed to, while failure is when it goes anywhere else. This would be influenced by the obedience stat. Also the self-discipline stat would effect how often it would go where it is supposed to when you aren't there. Failure would mean that you would spend more time cleaning up after it. Success would make it easy to clean up after it.
Etiquette TrainingThis would involve curbing certain behaviors, while encouraging others. Such as making it eat more slowly, telling it that certain lines or phrases are not allowed (like telling a Marisa to not say "Da Ze"). More importantly this would involve telling it ask nicely rather then demand that it is given something. Another example would be to tell it to put away toys when it is done with them, or to not sing loudly at night or in public. Success would involve them following what you ask of them, and would positively effect the manners stat and may effect the cleanliness stat which would effect how well it would clean up after itself. Failure would involve it not doing what you asked of it and may lead to it negatively effecting the manners stat, or cleanliness stat.
Physical TrainingThis would involve improving stats like speed, strength, and endurance. Speed could be trained by having it run on a mini treadmill or something along those lines, An example for success would be it staying on the treadmill while failure would be it falling off. The speed stat would effect how fast it can move as well as its ability to escape from rapers and home invaders. Endurance training would involve it bouncing into a wall or getting hit by something. An example of success would involve it being able to complete the training, while failure might involve it stopping and complaining about how it hurts. Failure could possibly lead to injury. The endurance stat would effect how well it could survive being hit by the player, as well as its ability to survive against rapers and home invaders. Strength training could involve making it pull something for a certain amount of time or to a certain location. Success would involve it actually moving the object while failure would involve it not being able to move it or stopping before it was supposed to and say that it is too hard. Failure could lead to injury. The strength stat would influence its ability to defend itself against rapers or home invaders.
That is what I can think of so far for the training.
