Printing-friendly styling

I am considering yuidoc for a project of mine, however, I am wondering how your experiences are with rendering printable variants? I played around with some yuidoc-generated sites, and looking at the printing previews: while they give decent results, tabs selection is maintained etc. rather than giving an all-in-one printable document.

Is there experience out there to provide an all-in-one document?

Can I achieve this effect with some minor tweaking (e.g., providing a print-only css)?
