Yeah, this is my first time writing a yukkuri fanfic, although I knew about the fandom for a few months. Hope this is enjoyable.
By the way, Miraten is a name I totally made up. It's a long story of how it because my username.

There is a house in the middle of the forest. Actually, two houses, but only one of them was really a house. The other is a glass room of about 25 feet by 20 feet, as was empty except for a few shelves and chairs. As a result, most interest was directed towards the actual house. With a side porch, an herb and vegetable garden in the backyard, and a path made of smooth stones that led up to the house, it seemed pretty inviting from the outside.
Every morning, a yukkuri Iku would go out to the side porch and bask in the warm sun. This yukkuri was a pet, and alongside a silver badge Iku also has a gold ring with four star points around the badge. This was a custom attachment to the badge to show that this Iku belonged to a specific owner (although this was only a quirk of her owner's. Most owners don't customize badges).
However, these days, Iku has been watched by another yukkuri. She did not know this, but a Patchouli, Great Sage of the Forest, has been watching Iku carefully. She didn't watch for too long, though. What interested the Sage more than the pet Iku was the vegetable patch at the backyard. Staying hidden in the bushes, the Great Sage crawls over to the garden.
"Slowly, slowly... Mukyu?! It's Miss Human!" Patchouli hurried back into the bushes before she reached the garden. A Miss just came out. This Miss Human seemed pretty easy; she had an accessory: a golden hairpin with a decoration similar to Iku's badge attachment. Because of this accessory, Patchouli never thought the Mister Human (who wore a similar one) and Miss Human that lived in this house were uneasy. However, she did think she was entitled to take some vegetables from their garden (after all, who would miss one or two Mister Carrots?).
Patchouli has actually seen the humans that lived in this house. There was Terry Miraten, who had silver hair and silver eyes. He wore a white robe with dull gold borders at the edges. He was a white magician, although the Great Sage didn't know this, and was also skilled in psychic arts (the Great Sage didn't know this either). Terry also had something else that made him seem easy in front of the yukkuri Iku, who typically avoid humans and yukkuri alike. Having a mysterious air around him, Iku seemed to be able to take it easy with this owner of hers.
Terry had an apprentice by the name of Melody Woods (who he calls Melly from time to time). She was a brunette with honey-colored eyes. Aside from her hairpin, she also wore a similar robe to Terry, except hers had a red bordering rather than gold. Patchouli always thought Miss must be the Mister's little one, and that the hair color must be the Mother's, who might've taken the big easy (obviously she was wrong). Iku did not seem to like Melody as she liked Terry, and the young apprentice was always trying to get Iku to warm up to her, without success.
Patchouli watched as the Miss watered the plants and then went into the house. Taking a glance at the Iku at the porch to make sure it isn't looking, the Great Sage sneaks into the garden and yanks out two big carrots with her braids. Putting them in her hat, the Sage then sneaks back into the bushes. She begins running through the forest, celebrating her steal.
"Mister Carrots are the Patchy's now. Patchy is so smart! Can't catch the Sage!"
"Yu! Uneasy yukkuri fork over Mister Carrot, ze! Right now is okay, ze!"
"Mukyu?!"
A Marisa jumped out of the bushes and blocked the Great Sage's path. The carrot sticking out of Patchouli's hat must've tipped her off about what she had.
"Mukyu! These belong to Patchy!"
"Yu! Uneasy yukkuri fork over the Great Marisa's munch-munch or the Great Marisa will have to administer punishment, ze!!"
Grr. This was obviously some stupid yukkuri that believed everything was theirs for the taking. They clearly did not understand what the Great Sage of the Forest had to go through to get these easy carrots. The Sage stopped to think. She weighed her options:
1. Hand over carrots (she can find munch-munch in other places)
2. Fight (She can't win a fight. Especially not without a Mister Stick)
3. Run (too slow, especially with the carrots)
4. Try to talk Marisa out of it
Choosing option four, Patchouli began to talk down the Marisa.
"Mukyu! Patchy got these carrots from Mister's easy garden! If Marisa wants some, she can go get some mister veggies for herself!"
"Don't say things the Great Marisa doesn't understand, ze! The Great Marisa needs munch-much for her beautiful wife and very cute children, ze! Hand over mister carrots, or the Great Marisa will puff, ze!"
URGH!! Diplomacy check failed. This Marisa was obviously too stupid to understand a simple thing such as mister human's vegetable garden! Not wanting to risk an attack, the Great Sage opted for option one instead. As the Marisa puffed up, Patchouli took the carrots out of her hat and tossed them at the Marisa, knocking off the offending yukkuri's hat in the process.
"Yuuuu?! The Great Marisa's Cool Mister Hat!! Come back, ze!" After chasing it down, she puts it on again and turns. The Great Sage seems to have run off, carrots left behind her. "The Cool and Suave Marisa must've scared off shitty Patchouli with her mighty puff, ze! Now the Great Marisa will take these mister carrots and feed them to her easy wife and easy little ones, ze!"
Not noticing that Patchouli had taken refuge in some bushes, the Marisa took the carrots and began walking to her den, a small hole at the base of a tree. Inside was a very fat Reimu, her wife. Beside her were four sausage-like koreimus and one komarisa. Strangely enough, the Marisas were the only ones in the family that weren't fat.
"Yu! The Great Marisa who is also an outstanding daddy is back with easy munch-munch, ze!"
"Yu, dwaddie's back! Chake it eajy!"
"Cute Weimu wands her eajy mishter munch-munch!"
"Give Weimu eajy munch-munch!"
"Weimu too!"
"Shorry for being sho cute!"
The Marisa was the only one to have any politeness in it's speech. It was also the only one who jumped over to it's father, probably because the koreimus grew too fat to even move as much as a very slow crawl. As the father placed one carrot in front of the komarisa, the komarisa began eating while the koreimus crawled towards the carrots at a slow pace.
"Munch munch. Happiness!"
"Yu, yu. Mishter Carrot come over here eajy and become Weimu's eajy munch-munch!"
"Swowly, swowly..."
"Uneajy shis dat don't share should dwop dead eajy!"
"Yu! Slow little shis should shtop chaking it sho eajy and come over here if little shis want munch-munch!"
"Wry would you shay dat! Uneasy shis dwop dead!"
The father Marisa did not notice one of her koreimus lunging towards the komarisa. However, he didn't need to worry, either, as the koreimu could hardly catch her big sister anyways. Either way, the komarisa finished eating and went to play with a nearby rock, leaving a generous of carrot for her sisters, who gobbled it up greedily as soon as they reached it.
"This shit ish sho good!"
"Munch munch, happiness!"
"Shorry for being sho cyute!"
"Doing poo-poo eajy! Wefweshed!"
The fat mother Reimu smiles as Marisa handed over the other carrot she had taken from the Patchouli.
"Yu, such an easy mister carrot!"
"The Great Marisa also knows where to find more of this easy munch-munch, ze!"
"Then why doesn't Marisa bring more munch-munch?"
"An uneasy mister has been hiding all the munch-munch, ze. When Marisa finds the uneasy mister, she will deliver the greatest punishment and take the munch-munch for her little ones and beautiful wife, ze!"
"Yufufufu, as expected of Deibu's husband..."
"The cool and easy Marisa will now go and find more munch-munch for little ones, ze!"
And with that, the Great Marisa leaves her nest and goes off in search for the human who Patchouli had spoke about, never realizing the Great Sage that was watching her from the bushes...
