Android Studio cannot run Xtend plugin version 2.11.0-SNAPSHOT

The plugins seem to download but Android Studio cannot recognize this version. I tried everything and finally found out version 2.9.2 works without any problems. Any help to understand what could be causing this problem is appreciated. Thanks.

SNAPSHOT versions are generally not properly tested. Especially in the case of IDEA integration I would go with what is released and what works.
