hi!

I reported recently a couple of problems with xtend (unable to set
breakpoints, missing icons) that were in fact caused by the
interaction with a third-party plugin, for a language that is based on
Xtend (Jnario, from jnario.org). Removing that plugin restored
functionality. The probable root cause is that the plugin expected
Xtend 2.3; what happened was that the injector for that language
crashed.

What I'd like to discuss is whether if it is possible to protect other
languages from crashes in other plugins. Maybe this is in fact an
Xtext problem?

best regards,
Vlad

Hello,

this is the same error. Jnario unfortunately does not support xtend 2.4 yet, due to changes in the xtend API.

Regards,

Sebastian

I just tried to install Jnario, and cannot create any jnario editor in Eclipse. Using Xtend 2.4. I tried both the normal and snapshot releases of Jnario. Could this be the same problem?

Hi, any news on Jnario compatibility? I'd love to use it in my projects...

Hello Christian,

Jnario already supports the latest Xtend 2.5.3 release.

Cheers,

Sebastian

Hi, thx, that’s strange, I installed it from the eclipse marketplace, and then tried creating a spec, and eclipse gave me an error saying it could not create the editor.

Do I need to install a different/specific version of Jnario?
