This updates a previous post.

My current problem on a cPanel Server (latest CURRENT release, latest EasyApache) on a server with 32GB RAM, dual 6-core E5 Xeon, Apache 2.4.x, PHP 5.5.x, latest MySQL.

XCache 3.1.0 routinely resets to zero after 15-45 min. No setting that I have tried for TTL will change that.

What can I look for/change/fix?

Here's my setup:

xcache.cacher="On"
xcache.coredump_directory=""
xcache.count="12"
xcache.coveragedump_directory="/tmp/pcov/"
xcache.coverager="On"
xcache.gc_interval="300"
xcache.mmap_path="/dev/zero"
xcache.optimizer="On"
xcache.readonly_protection="Off"
xcache.size="196M"
xcache.slots="8K"
xcache.test="Off"
xcache.ttl="86400"
xcache.var_count="12"
xcache.var_gc_interval="300"
xcache.var_maxttl="86400"
xcache.var_size="32M"
xcache.var_slots="8K"
xcache.var_ttl="86400"

Peace,
Gene

It could be that PHP is dying every 15~45 mins. Please check Faq page at http://xcache.lighttpd.net/wiki/Faq
