Xcache on server with interworx CP

I have installed and configured xcache on my webserver.
I have installed the Interworx Webserver Control Panel as a CP on my server for hosting purposes.

In php.ini I configured all the variables correctly.

When I access the Xcache-admin panel -> Diagnosis

I get this error -> Your PHP pages is not accelerated by XCache. Set xcache.cacher = On

xcache.cacher = On is set in php.ini.

What am I doing wrong? I have gone over every configuration setting and triple checked all values...
