When building on FreeBSD/i386, configure adds -march=i386 to CXXFLAGS --
even though the actual CPU may well be anything else.

Even if followed by a different, user-provided march-setting, this may
pessimize the build at best, or even break it entirely.

Configure should not be adding non-essential flags -- all optimization
options should be set by the building user (as CXXFLAGS environment
variable).
