This appears to be the default...whatever...used by Wro4j, but it's not mentioned on http://wro4j.readthedocs.org/.

This class wasn't documented because it will be deprecated. The recommended replacement is:
ro.isdc.wro.maven.plugin.manager.factory.ConfigurableWroManagerFactory

The reason is because, the ConfigurableWroManagerFactory discovers automatically all the processors from the classpath registered through SPI.

That leads to my main question:

Why do I need to configure r.i.w.m.p.m.f.ConfigurableWroManagerFactory at all? Why isn't it the default? From the docs, it appears to differ from the default WroManagerFactory by reading a wro.properties file. But I can't really tell, because not much is said about the default, like which processors it chooses, which is why I asked. But if that's all, then make it the default, and if there's no wro.properties, it falls back to the current default's behavior, right?

So it sounds like we should use ConfigurableWroManagerFactory until it's made the default. Might as well say that in the docs and examples, then.

That is correct. On the long term the default factory will be updated. Sorry for the confusion. It is not always easy to keep the documentation updates. However having this kind of suggestion or contributions improving the docs are always appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex
