NOTE FROM
ME: PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
I am sharing this because I think many of you don't know what the LINE
DANCE FOUNDATION is. It is based in the UK but IT HAS HELPED MANY DANCERS
IN THE U.S. and the only way to make that possible is through the help of line
dancers everywhere. I would love to see some of you participate in fund raising
by doing a raffle for LDF or doing individual donations to help them help your
fellow dancers who teach, choreograph, or make their living in whole or part
through line dancing. You could even ask people if they would like to add
$1 to their registrations to be donated to LDF and then they would have the
choice to do it or not. THERE IS A LINK TO USE PAY PAY TO DONATE ON THE
SITE. Also, remember that EVERY PENNY COLLECTED GOES TO THE RECIPIENTS of
the donations. They don't publish a list of the people they help unless
those people want to be known (and that is always appreciated) but I know of
many people they have helped by simply having someone they know nominate them to
receive the help. Please read the following overview and I will add the
link so you can review it further. PLEASE do what you can to help and if
you do, please let me know so I can thank you in the newsletter and keep a list
of those who are doing their part in the US to keep this valuable resource alive
and well. And thank you LDF for the help you give people in their darkest
hours.
About the LDF
Where it all began
The Line Dance Foundation (LDF) was
founded in 2007 by Betty Drummond of Linedancer Magazine with the aim of
establishing a charity to support those people involved in the Line dance
business who found themselves in difficult circumstances through illness,
accident or other distressing circumstances which affected their ability to work
and earn a living.
Who benefits?
We help anyone who is involved in Line dance on a professional basis be
that part-time or full time, anywhere in the world and in any capacity, be it
Choreographer, Instructor, Performer, DJ or Event Organiser.
Details of the donations we make to beneficiaries are kept completely
confidential. However, sometimes beneficiaries are happy to let it be known they
have needed and received help but disclosure will never come from the
LDF.

particular by the provision of facilities and the organisation of opportunities
