Today I made the second release of the wordpress-development-flow project, which encapsulates a set of best practises for collaborating on WordPress based projects.  @ryanholder & @daithi-coombes will be upgrading the labs.cityindex.com project to use this development-flow over the next few weeks.

The screencast below gives a quick overview of the current state of the project:

Release 2 (tag v24): 23 April 2013

  1. Renamed from mrdavidlaing/pressupbox-development-boilerplate to cityindex/wordpress-development-flow
  2. Switched from Grunt to Rake
  3. Generate WordPress plugin/theme documentation – rake docs[{plugins|themes},{name}] (eg,rake docs[themes,twentytwelve] && rake run then open http://localhost:4567/docs/themes/twentytwelve/index.html]
  4. XDebug debugging for IDE clients (#20)
  5. Prevent notifications in vagrant up that look like errors but are not (#4)
  6. Fix locale to en_US.utf8
