Hey guys!!

So, lets start off with this week's events. We had a follow-up session on Git this Friday as a part of the series of talks to increase GSoC participation from our institute. This week we also have the Tech and RnD Expo, where this year's ITSP projects and the projects developed by various Tech Teams are on display. There were also a series of talks on various technical topics and a comprehensive reflection of the active research going on in our institute.
Besides this, as some of you may be aware we have an initiative called Rattlesnake that had been started last year. Rattlesnake is basically a fun, interesting and hands-on way to help Freshmen learn all the aspects of python. Every week a question is posted and solutions to the questions in python are to be submitted. At the end of the week, a video explaining the solution is posted and all the submissions are evaluated. All those who have always wanted to learn python but somehow never managed to get around to actually doing it should definitely join this group.
Also, in the coming week we will be having the second Reflections on Thursday night. The speaker is our club's very own ex-manager, Kumar Ayush (a.k.a. "Cheeku") and the topic will be Styles of Programming. Look out for more updates on our Facebook page.

As always, this week's supply of memes:

For all the gamers who have been told not to waste their time playing games throughout their lives, this article is a must-read! It talks about a learning experiment, where people who play over 15 hours of video games weekly fared better than those who did not and were able to learn quickly from past input.

How many of us have ever lost the remote to the TV, or have been simply too lazy to go fetch the remote? Well, apparently, soon we will be able to use any objects to control our TVs. This article talks about how we can use gestures to control our televisions.

Cheers,
