Hello,

A session on 'Technologies for GIS based Mobile Application Development' has been organized on April 01, 2016 at 2:00pm at LC 001 by the Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE). This session will give the students an overview of various technologies that can be used for developing a GIS based Mobile Application.

                 mApp Your Way 2015 Winning Team from CSRE, IIT Bombay

Esri India has launched its second edition of mApp Your Way App Development Challenge. It is a pan-India competitive GIS application development program that engages students of prestigious academic Institutions to build socially relevant apps using ArcGIS technology. The first edition of the mApp Your Way 2015 was a huge success with a team from CSRE, IIT Bombay winning the first prize for the application – “Crowd Sourced Route Navigation and Pothole Monitoring”. The program will provide students a platform to showcase their skills and capabilities in GIS technology. Students would develop meaningful applications that could create a positive impact on citizens, society, environment and above all make a difference to India!

This session would briefly introduce the students to the structure of this challenge. All students who would be interested in participating in this challenge or those who would simply like to explore GIS based App Development are invited!
