$ pip install tldr --user

$ tldr tar

And much much simplified and helpful manual page for tar pops up.

If you have pandoc, lynx, and curl installed, you can use this script:


(Works only for Linux). For mac, change the line 23 to 'OS=osx'.

Press 'Q' to come out of lynx after man page is read. Easy navigation due to lynx; and md to html formatting due to all mighty `pandoc`.
