Description:

On September 21, 2012, the 30 day public comment period for “CF-netCDF Data Model extension candidate standard." completed. There were no comments. The current document version is OGC 11-165r1.

This document is an extension of the “netCDF core” Data Model specification: OGC 10-090. This candidate standard deals with: multi-dimensional gridded data and multi-dimensional multi-point data. The data model specified by this document can be encoded using the “NetCDF Binary Encoding Extension Standard: NetCDF Classic and 64-bit Offset Format” [OGC 10-092].

Therefore, the Technical Committee Chair recommends the TC:

Approve "CF-netCDF Data Model extension ” [11-165r1] as a new OGC standard .
