After downloading the updated presets file posted on this mailing list a few days ago, I still get the 'unknown encoder' error message. It's almost certainly my fault - what have I probably done wrong? btw, where does WinFF find this libfdk_aac encoder, on my (Windows) system?

Thanks for any help

on a windows system, if you aren't using the built in from the version you downloaded, you may have to download the new preset for the newer ffmpeg that was just posted to this list. I'll be releasing an update in the next couple months

Clearly I'm barely qualified to use winFF; I don't understand what you are advising me:
'using the built in' - what is a built in, in the context of WinFF? A built in what?
'the version I downloaded...' - I downloaded a WinFF-1.5.4-Setup-3.exe file and a presets.xml file; which download are you referring to?
'download the new preset..' - is that the one I just downloaded from this mailing list? If not, what and where is it?
'the newer ffmpeg that was just posted to this list' - I didn't see such an item; I did see the preset text file but I didn't see a binary. Where should I be looking?
