Hi All-

I'm looking at moving to weewx (from WeatherLink running on an old XP box).  Is there a tool to import data from my WL archive to weewx?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, there is such a tool. Mark Teel wrote wlk2sqlite for importing into wview. Because weewx uses the same schema as wview, it should work.

It may take some doing to build it: it's written in C and requires some prerequisites.

I think it's part of the wview distribution package. http://www.wviewweather.com

You can find a bit more information about wlk2sqlite in the wview User's Guide.

Hi Tom-

Thanks for the pointer- I've got weewx up and running and have the last 2+ years of data from WeatherLink imported.  Getting wview up and running was a real pain but it did let me pull in the WeatherLink data.

Maybe I'll try my hand at a python or ruby replacement for wlk2sqlite

Thanks also for the great software- easy to setup and connect to my website (http://www.hellmansoft.com/weather) and Weather Underground.

Jeff

An all Python version of wlk2sqlite would be welcome!
