I would like to know if Weewx support this weather station or if a drive can be added to support it? The company have sent me the datasheet to where where is everything is stored inside the unit but i am not good enough to program a drive for it, i am willing to pay to have this weather station compatible with the weewx software! thanx a lot!

the instruments look the like same as those on a fine offset station, but the console is different than the 10x0 or 20x0 consoles.  it might be a 30x0 variant.

does the vendor's datasheet provide any programming information such as memory map or communication protocol?

what product/vendor codes do you see when you do lsusb with the console plugged in to your computer?  a fine offset station shows this:

Bus 001 Device 034: ID 1941:8021 Dream Link WH1080 Weather Station / USB Missile Launcher

we are interested in the two numbers after ID.  fine offset stations are 1941:8021

if that is what you get, then try running weewx with the fine offset driver.

according to the docs you posted, that is a fine offset station.  however, it is not a 10xx/20xx/30xx station - sensors are the same, but consoles are different.

it should be fairly easy to develop a driver, but i would need access to a station.

do you know if the tycon tp2700 (aka, fine offset wh2300) predates the 10xx/20xx/30xx stations?  when was it first introduced?

do you have any idea of how big the production runs are/were for the wh2300?

many of the sites i see show the wh2300 as discontinued, and i do not see it listed on the fine offset web site http://foshk.com

Matthew - it's supported by Cumulus FWIW,  there's a bunch of discussion over at the Cumulus forums at http://sandaysoft.com where one note says it's a WH2310

as i understand it, the cumulus support consists of running the vendor's (windows only) software to emit a data file, then cumulus reads that data file.  i'm not sure what steve has in cumulus wx...

agreed about the price point, since the station includes luminosity and uv.

attached is a sample search list extension that will emit data in json format.  it is designed to be used with the metricsgraphics plotting package (which is based on d3).  you can easily modify the code to emit a json structure appropriate for your needs.  use the ftp or rsync report to get the resulting json output to your web server if the web server is not on the same machine as weewx.

no news (yet) about support for tycon.  i have some usb captures, but have not had time to decode them.
