WebDriver: java.net.SocketException: Permission denied: connect -> UnreachableBrowserException

Hi All,

I am facing the below intermittent error when I run my selenium script. (I have googled for the same and didn't find any help from there)

Santosh,

Error logs says you are using Windows 8
Java: 1.8
Selenium jar: 2.43.0
If this is true then please update jar file.

Please correct anyone if i'm wrong.

Couple of things.

You are NOT on 2.53.1 atleast not the client side. How are you stating that ? Can you please help elaborate ?

Your client version of selenium is 2.43

How are you instantiating your web-driver ?

When you are running your tests via TestNG try adding the JVM arguments that are mentioned in the below SO link and see if that helps.

upgrade your Jar to at least 2.53.0 or degrade your browser to aversion which is suitable for your browser version.
