Hello,

I want to live-boot Webconverger on an 486 machine without pae.
Which is the correct boot flag / option I have to enter after pressing TAB in the boot loader?

Thanks a lot!

Sorry, I've moved from Gmail to fastmail.fm and I'm missing Google Groups email!

So you have correctly noticed I've removed the 486 boot option. The
reason why I did this, is that I noticed a lot of clients choosing the
486 kernel option erroneously and losing out of on potential
performances gains the pae kernel provides.

Non-pae hardware is getting pretty rare, especially since
Webconverger/Firefox requires at LEAST 1GB of RAM to work smoothly.

However, as I'm committed to long term support, the 486 kernel is
still in Webconverger as you can see from:
https://github.com/Webconverger/webc/tree/master/boot

The easiest way to use it, is to install an old version of
Webconverger with the 486 option. e.g.
http://archive.webconverger.com/webc-25.0.iso
Install it. http://s.natalian.org/2015-02-02/25.png
And then it will update to latest 486 system.

Kind regards,
