webapp2 auth login retries

I am working with webapp2 and made it work pretty well with AJAX and sending emails using queues.

Now I would like to make sure the web app I'm building doesn't allow too many login retries.

Is there any functionality built-in to webapp2 auth that prevents people / bots from trying passwords until they find the right one. I haven't found any docs, config, or samples for this.

Please let me know if you have a solution or ideas for webapp2 auth login max retries.
