Hi,

I have an application written in Web2py deployed using lighttpd server and Mysql DB on another server.

The application captures data in a tabular format (excel sheet format tables) and updates it in the DB. However, loading the pages and retrieving the data from the DB is taking around 30 seconds.

Any idea how can I increase the performance of the server?

perhaps you can start profiling first to identify root cause analysis (e.g. use python module snakeviz)
