Is there a way to tell git “download the latest stable pydal” without specifying a tag/version?

There should be a way to specify tip of the appropriate branch, but I'm naive about git details.

there's no "stable pydal" pointer: it's not a question of git-fu, it's more of a question of how to indicate a pointer to a commit.
