Hi Massimo,
this https://github.com/web2py/web2py/pull/912 requires a more recent pydal. The shipped version of SQLCustomType in 2.10.4 doesn't have a represent, given that callable(field.type.represent) will raise an exception. We can either revert that commit or update it with a check that the attribute 'represent' exist.

please merge https://github.com/web2py/web2py/pull/926 too. I'm building docs to deploy web2py behind IIS, which should be the preferred option on windows >= 2008R2.
I'll create a new section on the book in the deployment chapter, and possibly a "setup_on_iis_2012R2.ps1" that will be the "one step process" in a clean Windows 2012R2 host to get web2py up and running.

the deployment instructions are ready too. after 2.10.4 you can merge this https://github.com/mdipierro/web2py-book/pull/272 and update the book. It should be mentioned in the CHANGELOG too.
