Can’t Attend The Ypsilanti City Council Meeting Tuesday August 16th But Still Want To Support Bike Lanes In Ypsilanti? You can call in, or send by email, comments (by Tuesday) why bike lanes are important to you to your City Council member and the Mayor. Email addresses and phone numbers (off the City website) are below.

The City of Ypsilanti Non-Motorized Advisory Committee is proposing the completion of an east-west bike lane route on Forest Avenue between Prospect Road and Norris Street. Bike lanes already exist to the east and west of this gap. The bike lane would not involve any new construction, only pavement painting. While the creation of a bike lane on Forest Avenue would remove parking spots on the north side of the road, surveys have show that vehicles rarely use these spots.
