Dear resident,

The City of Ann Arbor would like to invite you to attend the kick-off meeting for the Crosswalk Design Guidelines Project. There will be two meetings on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Ann Arbor District Library's downtown branch located at 343 S 5th Ave. The first meeting will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the second from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The primary focus of the meeting will be:

• Responding to the public concerns identified through the Pedestrian Safety Access Task Force project regarding inconsistencies in crosswalk design.
• Learning about community desires and preferences for crosswalk designs, especially how the community understands existing traffic control devices at crosswalks.
• Sharing with the community what requirements and guidelines the City already is required or chooses to work with.
