Today, the House of Representatives will debate and vote on their yearly spending bill for transportation. As it stands, the bill will make painful cuts to several crucial transportation programs that local communities like ours depend on. Can you join me and send a message ASAP to your representative?

These programs targeted by the House are precisely the ones that cities and towns and metro regions of all sizes are looking to more than ever to help them stay economically competitive and make their ambitious transportation plans come to fruition. This House appropriations bill would cut funding for all new transit construction by $200 million, slash the popular TIGER program that has funded innovative projects in communities of all sizes in all 50 states by 80 percent, and cut funding for Amtrak by almost $250 million.
