Am I correct in my sense that the price for high-end bicycles has skyrocketed over the past two decades?
My vague recollection is that twenty years ago a very good bike cost about $750 and the most expensive bikes were about $1500 or $2000. In the latest Bicycling magazine I see a Trek for $12,000, and a Moots for $11,540.
