Pedestrian Safety Advocates,

Please join me & A2SafeTransport at A2Council on 11/10 to advocate for funding for pedestrian safety improvements that meet best-practice engineering standards.

Please see the following information from one of the A2SafeTransport organizers.

Hello,

A group of concerned AAPS parents and city residents has joined forces in light of the recent tragedy of Justin Tang to lobby the AAPS and City Council to improve safety for non-motorists--particularly children walking and biking to school in unsafe conditions.

Our immediate need is for other concerned parents to attend the City Council Meeting this Thursday evening. The meeting starts at 7pm but we are gathering people in the lobby of City Hall from 6-7 to display a strong showing of support.

Our goal is to have 100 people in the lobby for the hour before the meeting to make them understand this widespread concern that will also get media attention.

Meeting information is below. We are collecting RSVPs to attend the meeting, to join our group, or to learn more about our goals at this Google Form.

Please follow the link and spread the word with your own local school groups and parents to attend the meeting.

For questions or comments please contact Stephanie Preston at stephani...@gmail.com

11/10/2016 City Council meeting starts at 7:00 PM
*Arrive 6-7p in the lobby to show advance support
