The dates for the museum to be at Microsoft in Redmond, WA are April 5th and 6th 2016. There may still be an opportunity for other sponsors in this state to host the museum on their sites around that time.

If you are interested in becoming a museum tour partner and bringing the museum to your corporate headquarters or city, please contact Liz Taub.

America's First Disability Rights Museum on Wheels rolled into communities across America
You have the opportunity to bring it to your city in 2016

In 2015 the US Business Leadership Network® (USBLN®) has brought its Disability Rights Museum on Wheels (DRMW), the country's first disability rights mobile museum, to more than twenty cities in celebration of the 25 anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Nearly 10,000 visitors toured the museum in 2015 including legislators, senior executives and students.

The nationally touring DRMW kicked of its cross-country tour on June 8, 2015, in Charlotte, N.C. at Wells Fargo, made a stop in Pittsburgh in July, and on the anniversary of the ADA stopped at the Smithsonian and U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

That was just the beginning. The museum has made several stops at tour partner corporate sites including Atlanta, Ga. (Cox Communications), St. Louis, Mo. (Express Scripts), Columbus, Ohio (JPMorgan Chase), Bentonville, Ark. (Walmart), Windsor, Conn. (Walgreens), Ridgefield, Conn. (Boehringer-Ingelheim), St. Louis, Mo. (Centene), Times Square, New York City (EY) and Des Moines, Iowa (Iowa State Fair).

Many companies are using the museum as an opportunity to:

• Host internal/external events that promote interactive dialogue and disability inclusive cultures.
• Display public commitment to disability inclusion, both internally and externally.
• Drive self-identification campaigns.
• Celebrate the 25 anniversary of the ADA as a company with the disability-focused employee resource group.
• Display accessible technology and other services to market to the disability community and their families.

2016 stops include:

• GSK Corporate Headquarters, Philadelphia
• Northrop Grumman Corporate Headquarters, Los Angeles
• Kaiser Permanente Corporate Headquarters, San Francisco
• Microsoft Corporate Headquarters, Redmond, Wash.
• USBLN Annual Conference, Orlando, Fla.
• Washington, D.C.
• Capital One Corporate Headquarters, Virginia

The DRMW is an accessible self-contained motor vehicle that features interactive learning opportunities and emerging technologies. The mobile museum also provides an opportunity for people to learn about the history of the disability rights movement. It presents an eye-catching exhibit that invites visitors to participate in hands-on learning about the disability civil rights movement and the Americans with Disabilities Act's (ADA) impact on technological innovation.
