We are seeking a PHP Developer to provide support for
the Bureau of International Information Program (IIP) across 450+ embassy,
consulate, and mission websites over 50 different languages.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Managing a responsive design
(mobile friendly) implementation for over 450 sites in 67 languages.
- Lead the development,
migration, and launch of 30 pilot sites into a new open source CMS platform.
- Debug cross-browser and script
issues, with support for IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
- Develop WebGUI CMS templates
in multiple template languages (HTML::Template, Template Toolkit).
- Play a vital role in coding
out new feature enhancements, managing a site baseline that supported more than
450 sites in 62 languages, and providing high level technical support for
routine and daily updates.
- Plan, design, manage, and
troubleshoot numerous CMS site migrations.
- Design various custom graphics,
banners and logos and web-based visuals for several state.gov web
sites.
- Assist the Social Media team
in launching the US Government’s first active, public social media web site.
- Perform Section 508 compliance
analysis and offered Section 508 training to content managers.
- Experience with Wordpress and
PHP required
