0.8 Alpha 1 has been released.
Install it with:
$ pip install https://github.com/wal-e/wal-e/archive/v0.8a1.tar.gz
Highlights:
WAL fetching is now pipelined and parallelized, using prefetching.
This can account for drastically reduced restore times. Some real
world cases have the total disaster recovery time cut in half.
Logging now supports selectable output. See
https://github.com/wal-e/wal-e#logging. By Rodolphe Quiédeville.
When using S3, one can now use an alternate endpoint by setting
WALE_S3_ENDPOINT, allowing compatibility with Ceph RADOS and other S3
implementations:
