Hello,
I would like to say hello to all users.
I'm new to this forum and new to python as well.

I've encountered a problem when I try to run any of the examples programs that include"from visual import *" shell opens, thinks for a second and I get standard prompt window saying "pythonw.exe will be closed..." shell restarts and nothing happens like on the attached picture.

When I try to run script with only "from visual import *" or "import visual" or "import vis" I get this crash report.
"import visual_common" works and gives no crash.

I can add that I'm on 32bit XP and install python and vpython according to instruction on http://vpython.org/contents/download_windows.html site.

I have also installed today latests graphic drivers (geforce gtx260).

Can anyone tell me what might be the reason for this?

If someone has some clue please help.

Thanks in advance,
Rafal

How do you start execution? By pressing F5 in VIDLE or some other way?

Yes, by pressing F5 in VIDLE or by clicking on Run - Run Module.

I would like to add that I tested 32-bit Python-2.7.9 with VPython-Win-32-Py2.7-6.11 on three windows xp 32 bit machines and they all gives the same error.

Additionally I install 32-bit Python-3.2.2 with VPython-Win-Py3.2-5.74 and it's working with no errors! Although it looks like zooming doesn't work.

The verison 2.7 gives this error all the time.

Is this common for windows xp machines?

Has anyone had such a problem?

Just figure it out how to zoom in 3.2 - mouse left + mouse right + moving forward/backward to zoom in or out - in my case.
Hope it helps to someone.
