I checked and found that the update to Spyder that would make it possible to use the latest version with VPython 7, which was originally hoped to happen with Spyder 3.2.1, has been pushed back to (at least?) 3.2.5.
The latest version of Spyder that works with VPython 7 continues to be Spyder 3.1.4.
