Can these two engines please be removed from VirusTotal? They're reporting nonsense.

I ran two popular open source IM clients past the current bank of VirusTotal and noticed the following two new additions to their list of scanners:

CMC has flagged Spark's IM client as "Virus.Win32.Xpaj.1!O":

Description of that pest:

Rising has flagged the current build of Pidgin as "PE:Trojan.Win32.Generic.141A9A33!337287731":

How did these two scanning engines make it past your QA?

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Rather than removing the engines from VirusTotal permanently, what we must and will do is help these companies in improving their detections. VirusTotal's primary goal is to build APIs and tools so that the AV industry can better understand current threats and improve their own detections, this will eventually lead to a more secure user-base world-wide.

Regards.

Educate, not exterminate.
Very good and decent.

Good to see this.
